Post-Graduation Update

The last time I posted was in February while I had been job searching for over a month.  Well I landed a job shortly after and have been happily working there for about 8 months.  The company, Direct Digital LLC, is a company that specializes in marketing their own health supplements such as Instaflex, Lumiday, Nugenix, Beneflex, and Slim Science.  You can check out our website by visiting the following link:

We are constantly formulating new supplements for people in different categories.  I am a Team Lead in the customer service department, meaning I manage emails, call center representatives, incentive programs, credit card accounts, charge-backs, and various other customer satisfaction tasks.

This summer, we got to travel to the GNC franchise convention in Las Vegas, NV.  We had a booth to display our products and sales goals to meet each day.  I got to meet some pro-athletes and sample a lot of other health products.

 Below is our product booth

When I started working with this company, our office was located on the basement level of a building with no windows.  We recently moved to the NASCAR building and our entire office is windows now.  Below is the view of Charlotte from my desk every day.

The job has great perks too! We got to sit court-side at the Bobcats preseason opener.

Not only did I get a new job, but I started attending a new church this year as well.  I visited several churches, but really felt welcomed and at home at FBC of Kings Mountain.  They have a great group of young adults and the pastor and congregation are phenomenal.  Everyone I have met has a servant heart and they are sincerely trying to reach the community and the world through all their different ministries.  I have become active in the young adults ministry and made several close friends.  Softball, volleyball, disc golf, bowling, and game nights, have become weekly activities for us.  This keeps me super active and I really look forward to hanging out with uplifting company.

I was really restless after college when I couldn't find a teaching job and wasn't sure if I even wanted to do that anymore.  I still have a strong desire to coach, either in high school or college, so hopefully an opportunity will eventually come for that.  Although I'm not doing what I always dreamed of, God has other plans for me and I have really felt a peace over the last couple of months that I am exactly where I am supposed to be right now.
